The mission statement of the Broward Homebound Program is enable the elderly and disabled adults of Broward County to live independently at home with dignity.
The agency was founded in 1986 by a group of concerned senior citizens who saw the need amongst their neighbors for affordable in home services.
The majority of the retired people had no family living close by to assist them with shopping, errands and assistance with personal care.
Since 1986 approximately 15,000 residents of Broward County have been able to live independently with the in home services provided by the Broward Homebound Program.
