Opened in 1964, Heritage Health - Peru was one of the original facilities built by Heritage Enterprises.
With additions being completed in 1967, 1974, and 1981, their facility now includes 129 beds.
As a Medicare Certified Program, they offer physical, occupational, and speech therapies to their residents.
Once in the middle of a cornfield, their facility is now close to two main thoroughfares in the LaSalle-Peru area, but they still maintain a neighborhood atmosphere.
Their facility's dedicated staff works hard to provide for the needs and wants of their residents.
They form strong relationships with their residents, which is just one aspect of the home-like atmosphere they provide.
Their reputation in the community remains high because of the excellent care they provide, as well as their great track record with their residents - one half of the people who enter their facility go home because of their heavy focus on therapy services.
They are truly a customer-oriented facility.
"Caring every step of the way..." says Administrator Caroline Daugherity.
"That's who we are."
Heritage Health - Peru offers both respite care and hospice care (contracted through Illinois Valley Community Hospital and St. Margaret's Hospices) to their residents.
They are a member of the Illinois Health Care Association and the American Health Care Association.
They also provide wireless internet service for guest and visitor use.
